About Us

From September 2008 until August 2011 we will be in Bridgend, South Wales, where Ralph will be studying at the Wales Evangelical School of Theology (pictured on the right) – www.west.org.uk for more information. WEST is a non-denominational reformed bible college with a mission to ‘promote biblical thinking, personal godliness and God-honouring church related ministries worldwide’. The plan for the three years is as follows:

1st year – Ralph will take the Licence in Theology (LTh – an intensive one year theology degree) studying: Greek Grammar, Studies in Biblical and Historical Theology, Studies in Systematic Theology, Preaching and Pastoral Theology, Contextualisation and Eschatology.

2nd year – Ralph will take a Diploma in Theology, with the aim of devoting more time to biblical languages and taking a number of modules which will be beneficial for his future ministry. These will include a number of M.A. modules.

3rd year – Ralph will study for a Masters in Theology (MTh), taking modules on the Doctrine of Scripture, Modern Hermeneutics, the Doctrine of the Trinity, Christology and Soteriology.

Anna hopes to audit a number of courses during our time at WEST.

The plan for beyond

God willing, Ralph plans to minister as a full-time elder / pastor of an independent evangelical church. In the first instance,  he will probably apply for an assistant pastor post within a larger evangelical church to gain further pastoral experience after college.  Anna plans to remain at home until our children are at school at which point she plans to return to paid work. In the longer term, we can envisage Ralph pursuing a training role, perhaps overseas. We earnestly pray and hope that our ministry together will be marked by a love for Christ, a love for God’s Word, a love for God’s people, a love for the lost and a passion for God’s glory.
